Happy 1st Birthday Madden!

We have done a lot of celebrating. Your first birthday party was a Safari Party. We went to Aunt Shannon's with all of your cousins and aunts and uncles and played pin the nose on the lion, had a nacho bar, and giraffe or zebra cake. You were spoiled with tons of gifts. 

 Your second party was at Grandpa and Grandma Palmers. It was a PJ's and Pancake party. You could choose what color of pancake you wanted and add some fix ins. Most of your cousins were there and both of your aunts. Spoiled again.

On your actual birthday....today

We drove to St. Augustine and took you to the beach for your first time. You loved it. You could see tractors, which you love, and we fed the seagulls. You let the waves splash into you and didn't even mind that they were a little chilly. 

It started to rain so we had to leave the beach but we went to see an old lighthouse.

We didn't make a cake but we got cakebatter ice cream at cold stone, mommy's favorite and you didn't mind it at all!

You love your newgifts. A basketball hoop and a baseball tee. When you woke up and saw them you pointed and said, "what's dat?" then you got a big smile and crawled for it as fast as you could.

We spent the summer in Utah and Idaho. You have become obsessed with Tractors, trucks, 4-wheelers,   motorcycles, horses, cows, and cats. We spent a lot of time sitting in Grandpa Daniels tractors and trucks letting you steer the wheel and feeding the horses apples. Sometimes if I was desperate to get you to sleep we would go ride the 4-wheeler and you would be out.

You could walk if you wanted to but you have chosen to keep crawling. You love to throw everything. You eat pretty much everything. You love beets, cucumbers, peas, tomatoes, any meat, and pretzels.
You just got three molars so you have 11 teeth total.

You would choose to read a book over most activities. For your birthday I think you got 6 new books, and you love the pages with trucks, and tractors on them.

We love you Mr Madden. Happy Birthday sweet man. Thank you everyone for celebrating with us and for all of the birthday wishes.
